At Laser & Cosmetic Surgery Specialists, we are very excited to introduce this laser treatment to our patients. While Fraxel is a very effective laser treatment, many patients were deterred by the costs, the fear of pain, the downtime or the need to avoid the sun post-treatment. Some patients who underwent Fraxel did not maintain their results as often as they should for the same reasons. Furthermore, many younger patients who presented for treatment did not need Fraxel. Clear + Brilliant gives us the ability to bridge that gap and provide another option that offers lasting results at significantly less cost.
Candidates for Clear + Brilliant
The Clear + Brilliant treatment can be seen as something of a “Baby Fraxel” treatment. It is ideal for patients who are looking to combat the early signs of skin aging without the downtime and discomfort associated with Fraxel treatments. It is also great for maintenance of results following Fraxel treatment. Patients who would have trouble avoiding the sun or are seeking treatment during the summer are also good candidates as, unlike other skin treatments, sun avoidance is not essential after treatment.

The Clear + Brilliant Procedure
The Clear + Brilliant treatment is performed in the medical spa at Laser & Cosmetic Surgery Specialists. Discomfort is minimal, allowing the procedure to be performed with no anesthesia or a 30-minute topical anesthetic. Fraxel, on the other hand, requires a one-hour topical anesthetic and patients often still experience discomfort.
The Clear + Brilliant laser treatment takes just thirty minutes to complete and patients are able to immediately return to work and other normal activities. For optimal results, a series of six treatments performed at 2-week intervals is recommended.
